Evidence of God's Grace

I, by God's grace, am evidence of God's grace. Such a simple and amazing thought, yet one that has never crossed my mind before.

Here's what brought on this post during my reading time today:

"The doctrine of grace tells us that creation was God's gratuitous act, not necessitated in any way. Moreover, life is covenantal, and both the law of the covenant and its mercy represent God's grace. We are in all our being evidence of God's grace. As St. paul says, in 1 Corinthians 4:7, 'For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?'" - R. J. Rushdoony, "To Be as God: A Study of Modern Thought Since the Marquis de Sade, pg 201
